Why are there nasty blank spots in my post? The words are there, you just can't see them. I haven't got a clue why. Help? Anyone?

There is a lot of html gobbledygook in what you posted; I recommend copying your original text into a file without formatting (for example, in Word, an rtf file), and then pasting (and, if necessary, formatting) it.
